Eligibility requirements
The candidate should:
To be eligible for a Japanese ODA scholarship, you must be a national of an ADB borrowing member country and not possess dual citizenship in any developed country.
Additionally, you must have been admitted to an approved master’s program at a Designated Institution.
To apply, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a strong academic record, as well as at least two years of full-time professional job experience after completing their university degree.
To be eligible for studies, candidates must have strong English communication skills and be under 35 years old at the time of application, unless waived with the approval of the Japanese government.
Applicants must be in excellent health and willing to return to work in their home country To contribute to the development of the Program, participants must not be Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management, staff, or consultants of ADB, or their close relatives by blood or adoption
(defined as spouse, mother, stepmother, father, stepfather, sister, stepsister, brother, stepbrother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew). Additionally, they must not be ADB-JS staff.

Procedures for Applying
University facilities Processes of Applying
1. The applicant requests information and application forms from their preferred university.
2. The applicant completes the required documents for the application, including the ADB-JSP registration sheet.
3. Applicant submits documentation to the institution
4. The university assesses and decides on admittance to candidates.
5. The institution presents a shortlist of candidates to ADB
6. ADB reviews submissions by universities.
7. Based on its selection requirements, the ADB offers grant recipients to the Japanese executive director for approval.
8. ADB picks students and tells the college or university.
9. The university informs all candidates.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Applicants have to submit their current financial statement or a verification of their yearly or monthly income, that is available to them. They should also provide proof of family income (parents’ income).
The completed application forms, along with all copies of academic documents, should be sent to the institution at least six (6) months before the start of the semester that you want to apply for.
Only candidates who have been offered admission and approved by academic institutions will be considered for ADB scholarships.
The ADB-JSP does not cover fees for the scholar’s spouse; extra courses or training; different traveling during the course of the study program; extra costs associated with supplementary educational materials, trips to museums, or attendance at seminars, classes, or workshops Internships at colleges and universities or the cost of educational gadgets, such as computers.
Completion of the application form or admission by the university does not imply that you have been accepted for a scholarship
Therefore, you should not take any action regarding your current job or otherwise until you receive notification from the university that you have been awarded a scholarship
